Alta Apartments was built in 1972 by Bliss and Alta Allred, who dreamed of creating a comfortable, affordable home for single students. The complex was named after Alta — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and service touched everyone around her.
To this day, Alta Apartments remains proudly family-owned and operated, continuing the legacy that Bliss and Alta began. Our goal is simple: to offer students a welcoming place to live that feels both personal and community-driven — where everyone is cared for and supported.
Located just across the street from the BYU football stadium, Alta is surrounded by energy and opportunity. You’ll be near campus, bus stops for UVU, great shopping, and plenty of local restaurants. The excitement of game days, the sound of the BYU band, and our new pickleball and basketball courts make Alta a truly vibrant place to call home.
We’d love to have you join our Alta family. For questions, reach out anytime at email@thealtaapartments.com — we can’t wait to meet you.

College life moves fast — but at Alta Apartments, you’ll always have a place that feels grounded, friendly, and familiar.
Located just across the street from LaVell Edwards Stadium and within walking distance of great restaurants and local spots, Alta offers the perfect blend of convenience and community. Our two wards make it easy to connect with others who share your values and goals, while our on-site amenities bring everyone together — from our new pickleball, basketball, and volleyball courts to our beautiful swimming pool and cozy lounge with a 65" TV.
With helpful live-in managers, an on-site laundry facility, and everything you need right here at home, Alta is more than housing — it’s a supportive community where you can live, learn, and belong.
